My friend Bugnubs is over from Florida, staying with us until Friday and the weather has cooperated by being glorious!

Here we are at Cyberbox, catching up on the Forum news and generally causing chaos... at least, thats the theory....

Heavens...

So much has happened in  the last couple of weeks that it is going to be hard to explain it all. So let me start by saying I am alive, I am happy, I have a landline telephone again and will have the Internet connected again as soon as I receive my Alice Box from Tiscali Italy. Why Tiscali Italy? Because they offer wireless connection, 24/7 unlimited ADSL, satellite TV and all fixed-line French phone calls are included for 29.95€ a month. Plus you get two free months. Works for me!

The children are doing very well in school and have started spouting phrases at me in Breton, which I haven't the foggiest of notions what they mean. I counter with saying something profound like, 'Coffee with milk and no sugar' in Polish or 'Thank you very much you are welcome' in Japanese or 'Louis and the grapes of happiness' in Spanish... which shuts them up. This will work until they figure out Mum is blagging her foreign languages...

Today I get my Decree Nisi. 6 weeks and 1 day from now, I can request my Decree Absolute. This is now forcing my sluggish very-soon-to-be-ex to get the house valued, finally... since all finances have to be sorted before the decree can be issued and more importantly, before the Solicitors representing him receive their money...

One more step towards my new life I am creating here in France.

Just having problems connecting to the Internet at the moment coupled with having leant my laptop to Sevérine means I can't update Kittychat as much as I would like...

Of course that will all change next week when my beloved comes back from the UK.... and I have my cuddle-partner back... and an ability to access the Internet from his house in Plouguernevel.

Yes, Kitty is one happy Kittycat.

Finally.

TRYING to get information on the law regarding people who just want to sell something one time or so. This is for the Christmas Market in Cléguérec that Ruby and I are organising...

Can I get a straight answer out of ANYBODY??? No.

Walked over to the Chambre des Metièrs, which is where Artisans need to register. After much too-ing and thro-ing they decided it did not fall under their jurisdiction and sent me to the Sous-Prefecture.

The Sous-Precfecture decided it was definately the Hôtel des Impôts that needed to deal with the situation. Ok so walk over there....

After a 45 minute conversation involving about 10 people and at least 5 phone calls, the Hôtel des Impôts declared it was the Chamber of Commerce that needed to decide about the situation...

Another hour at CCIM and three more phone calls it is decided that the people who want to sell at the Marché Noël must register as Independent Artisans at the..... wait for it..... Hôtel des Impôts.

There must be a loophole somewhere, it's just finding it.

On the other hand, I certainly got my exercise in today.... 

Its cold, drizzly and miserable... an accurate description of my mood today.

Why do people have to be so nasty? OK, myself included in that number... I felt quite nasty and put out these last couple days, I must admit.

You feel that red-hot flush of embarrassment or jealousy and it makes you want to just hide or lash out. Its an awful way to feel, it makes your heart beat quick and fast, it makes you see shadows where none appear, in bright sunshine.

I suppose it is also the nature of my moods: mecurical at times, at others, slow as treacle. Its just me. Hopefully the usual 'good me' makes up for the infrequent 'icky me'.

Yeah, stupid comments and the fact that I am back up again to 83kg has put a damper on my mood.

And my friend is going back to the UK tomorrow for 3 weeks... pooh.... Just when I'm getting used to lots of cuddling from somebody besides my kittens...

I like this saying... and it's true, don't you think?

Too often we engage the mouth without engaging the brain. We say things that we later will regret. OK, well, at least I have... and more than just once.

So if I have managed to harm anyone out there in any way by what I have done or said, I am sorry. I know it's not enough, but I do feel remorse.... because I know I have screwed up things in my life.

Thankfully, most people have it in their hearts to forgive me my transgressions..... so thank you for that.

I suppose I am just feeling a bit mortal and frail right now.

Lovely day today. Loads of rain last night and a very cold and foggy start to the morning but now it is glorious!

We went down to Pont Samuel lake and had a picnic, just enjoying the day really. I'd say Autumn isn't far away and, I for one, am ready for it. Thinking thick sweaters, warming stews and cuddling up on the couch under a down duvet....

Not to mention the hot mulled wine...... have to wait for Winter for that. You can't do hot mulled wine in Summer.

Sangria, on the other hand....
